Detail page guide
ProQuest’s Detail Page Guide covers the enhancements to the detail page.
When you find the book you’re looking for via the search or a link you are met with the book’s detail page. All the key information about the e-book and what you can do with it is immediately available. Title information includes availability, description, table of contents and bibliographic information. In this view you also get all major action buttons too like Add to My Bookshelf, Cite Book, Download and Read Online.

The Table of Contents is interactive with expanding subsections that allow you to see the break down of the book and access the chapters you want. Giving page ranges and page count you know how much you’re downloading or accessing online. The chapter downloads are DRM-free and save with metadata so your device e-book readers can see the chapter heading and book title.

Through the use of subsections you can see the topics in the chapter and isolate your selection more. This can be really helpful especially in huge books covering multiple views, topics or case-studies.

Use of icons and dialog boxes let the reader know status updates, like the download limits starting and letting you know the alternative options.

The copy, print, and download limits, are all laid out concisely in the Availability area at the top of the page; providing you an availability status including total pages remaining for copy, print and download.

Description and bibliographic information available right on the detail page—show more or less as needed. It covers the title, subtitle, author, publisher, publication dates for print and e-book, language, ISBNs, page count, subject headings and reference identifiers.
